The initiative behind TSTC (The Stone Technical College) is mainly designed to hand out practical knowledge skills that are in conformity with the development and technology of the 21st Century. Vocational and technical schools serve many purposes and offer varying options. For some, they offer opportunities to further their livelihoods and intensify their earning power. For others, they offer training in hands-on fields which do not require traditional four-year academic training.

In TSTC, the students are trained to be world-class craftsmen and women through a passion for excellence by:

  1. Being good – skilful in their profession
  2. Being relevant – ICT Based
  3. Being right – ethical and truthful in business

Investment in human resources through vocational education, training and other forms of learning is essential to achieving sustainable and inclusive growth. Vocational training will continue to play an important role in the shift towards more practical-oriented and knowledge-intensive societies. Almost half of all jobs available in the labour market have always required a medium-level qualification which will greatly benefit those with vocational and technical skills. This is why The Stone Technical College is relevant in creating an enabling environment that encourages members of our society to embrace this aspect of unique education and learning in order to eradicate poverty and reduce unemployment in Nigeria.
